  • Gross Sales : Gross Sales also called as Top line or Revenue. If these Sales figures are increasing its very good for the growth and long term prospects of the company. On the Other Hand if its going down its a negative news for the stock and the investor holding that stock.
  • Net Sales : When you deduct expenses such as Sales Return, Sales Discounts, etc you will get Net sales figures of that quarterly period.
  • Operating expense : This Operating expenses are essential for running the business of a company such as salaries of employees, electricity bills, legal fees, traveling, research etc paid during that quarter of the year.
  • Operating Profits : When you deduct operating expenses from your Net sales figures you will get this operating profits.
  • Net Profit : This popularly known as Bottom Line, that shows company's net earnings or losses during the quarter. If the bottom line in increasing on quarter to quarter basis, the trend of the stock is sure to go up in the future.
  • EPS : Earning per share is calculated at by dividing net profit by numbers of share of the company. This is Great tool to Measure Earings of the company and its performance with its peers.
