The formula of Market capitalization is as below:
Market capitalization = (No of shares) x (value of share price in Market)

If the total number of Tata steel shares is 1,00,000, and the Tata steel share price is Rs. 300 in the share market, so the total Market Cap of Tata steel is = 3,00,000,00 (Three Crore Rupees).

In the NSE share market, Nifty also has Midcap index in India called the Nifty Midcap 50, which hosts the top 50 most traded mid-cap shares in the NSE (National Stock Exchange).

Small Cap refers to those companies with a market capitalization (Market value) below 5000 cr.
Investing in small cap companies is very risky because stocks are traded with very low volume (low liquidity).
